Lake Superior College to host Manufacturing Career Night on October 23

Strong workforce demand for machinists, welders and engineering CAD designers continues in the Twin Ports region and beyond. Learn more about affordable training options in these career fields at Lake Superior College’s Manufacturing Career Night, 4:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, at LSC’s Downtown Duluth Campus, 120 N. Second Ave. West, Duluth. The event is free and open to the public. Online reservations are encouraged, but not required.

The Manufacturing Career Night will offer visitors a chance to interact with high-tech equipment including computerized machines, 3D printers and scanners, robotic welders, waterjet and plasma cutting, CAD design software and more.

Faculty and current students will give tours of the machining, welding and CAD lab facilities. Academic advisors and other staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about admissions, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, transferring credits, academic support and more. Regional employers and alumni will also be on hand to discuss career opportunities.
